I did my bronze, silver and gold awards and had so many fantastic experiences, some of which I continue to this day. In 1990 I started helping with my local scout group, to fulfil my “service” module. And still to this day I am a scout leader, helping other young people to get the life experience I got. I also, as an extra happy by product of that time in scouting, met my husband. Without the duke of edinburghs award, we would never have met.
