The Duke will continue to impact the youth of the Commonwealth through this wonderful program. Pastor Charles Nottage and I are eternally grateful for the vision of Prince Philip to establish the Duke of Edinburgh Awards for the Youth of the Commonwealth. Our two children Charles Matthew N. Nottage & Cassandra Nottage Mackey were privileged to have participated in this esteemed program. Our two children completed the requirements for the bronze through gold awards and were presented their gold awards by Prince Edward at Government House Nassau Bahamas in 2004 and 2008. Our daughter also completed the leadership award. These were proud moments.

This program has been instrumental in honing their leadership, survival and relationship skills. We are forever grateful to the Bahamas Branch - Governor General's Youth Awards, for instilling leadership, survival and relationship skills in our daughter and son.
