I am also a recipient of the goodness of Prince Philip

I am the first Filipino participant in The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award for Young People in the United States.

On August 2017, I got an ALL EXPENSE PAID "Adventurous Journey" activity in Upstate New York, thanks to the donors and sponsors of the award. A crucial segment of the Award programme that empowered me to learn survival and camping skills along the state park and forests. We camped for almost 2 weeks, and I have met amazing young people from around the US who are also part of the programme.

Without the award program, I will never experience hiking, camping and training with that caliber given my limited access to opportunities. Through my participation in the program, I've also learned to improve myself so I can better contribute to my community.

I am grateful for Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh for founding the program as it helps millions of young people like me become innovators, changemakers and like the Duke, a person of value for others.

Now, I have a social enterprise in the Philippines empowering farmers become innovative in order for us to sustainably eradicate poverty among the rural communities. I am grateful for the influence of the program in my life as I make choices towards my goal.
