I completed my Gold Award Adventurous Journey with a gruelling four day cycle around the Isle of Skye. Who knew the weather in Scotland could be so hot and the mountains so steep! We faced many a challenge – losing tent poles, broken bicycle chains, midges – lots and lots of midges, but we accompanied this with lots of laughter. I made great friends on this trip with whom18 years later we still reminisce about our time on the Isle of Skye.
