Kimberley Kovacevic
In 2019, Brisbane Grammar School was invited to Government House, where Mr Greg Thorne and Miss Kimberley Kovacevic accepted a certificate of recognition from the Governor General awarded in recognition for the school's years of service to the award. Established in 1962 we are one of the 2 longest serving award units in the state.
In 1968 the Duke came to Queensland to mark the School's Centenary with the planting of the hoop pine at the front of our Boarding house- Harlin House, and presented Gold Awards at a ceremony in Government House; 4 of which were BGS boys.
In 1977 HRH returned to BGS to present Gold Awards in the Centenary Hall of which he officially opened on his visit in 1968.
HRH’s legacy continues today, with over 120 boys in our school currently working through four award levels, Bridge , Bronze, Silver and Gold awards.
