I loved the Award - it really built me as a person. The training and team work that went into it made it feel really special. Being able to get an award for something I already love doing was perfect. I am a sporty person which meant the expedition was my type of thing. I was also elected DofE ambassador for my school which meant I was really involved in the whole award and recommend it to any one upcoming. It’s inspiring and full of other people who love to be active and help others. I did my volunteering through sports coaching which meant I could combine my passion with helping others learn so it really improved my personality.
