The Duke of Edinburgh award was an incredible opportunity that has had a great impact on my life!

Throughout my experiences with the award I met so many people I am lucky to call friends and have had many eye opening experiences that I am so grateful to have had. We learned how to face and tackle various challenges, how to come together and encourage each other and how to be a support system for each other. We learned to be independent yet work as a team and the award has provided a sense of community not just locally but also globally.

I carry with me, not just the memories, but also the great sense of pride that comes with being a Duke of Edinburgh gold award holder!
