I completed my gold award programme during the completion of my studies for A levels at St Elphins school in Derbyshire. Being from the Bahamas it was not easy but the reward was more than I could have ever imagined. The trainings brought exposure to me about so many things and the lifelong friendships created remind me always to take nothing for granted. I am appreciative of the experience and wish that many more students could take the opportunity to participate. To this day I look at my medal and invitation to receive such a prestigious award with pride and I am forever grateful I had the opportunity as a direct entrant for the Gold Award
