My daughter Deshika paranavithana is a slow learner. She obtained bronze and silver medals under special category. She was willing to do gold medal due to age restrictions she could not get the chance to do so. Deshika has improved her sewing skills and did a tremendous service to the special needs children. She has improved herself after joining this programme, The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award.

Deshika was fortunate to present a plaque (cross stitched by herself )to his Royal Highness Prince Edward , The Earl of Wessex at the Beyond Ability exhibition held at Deaf and Blind School in Ratmalana, Sri lanka. I attach the photo taken during the concert.
