My name is Kennedy Gichuki.

Among some of my best moments in school is participating in The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award. I appreciate Prince Philip's idea that has changed millions of lives, mine included. Some of the many skills I've learnt while doing the international award include skills that help me earn a living. I've also learned more about myself and about teamwork. It would be an understatement to say the award has improved my quality of life.

I sincerely hope the award continues evolving and helping all kinds of people to better their community and their lives— the Duke of Edinburgh has touched the lives of many and I know his legacy lives on in us.
